Holiday home with terrace, shared pool and barbecue

Your accommodation is on the 'Herdade' in the countryside, just outside Santiago do Cacem on the N120. On the hill, apart from the miller's house, there is only the owner's house and the mill. Everyone has plenty of privacy.

Shared use of the organic swimming pool, plenty of sun loungers, shady roofs, cosy seating areas. Very quiet location and yet right in the town centre. From Troia (near Setubal) to Sines there is a 60 km long sandy beach that is still largely untouched by tourism; you can reach it by car in 15 minutes. In the lagoon of Santo André there are numerous water birds; a paradise for ornithologists. Between Sines and the charming fishing village of Porto Covo you will find numerous rocky coves with small romantic beaches.

Your accommodation is on the Herdade in the countryside, 1 km from Santiago do Cacem on the N120. Only the owner's house and the mill are on the hill. Everyone has enough privacy. Very quiet location and yet immediately in the town. From Troia (near Setubal) to Sines there is a 60 km long sandy beach, still largely untouched by tourism, which you can reach by car in 15 minutes. In the lagoon of Santo André there are numerous water birds, a paradise for ornithologists. Between Sines and the charming fishing village of Porto Covo you will find numerous rocky coves with small romantic beaches. Santiago do Cacem is an architecturally very interesting little town and offers numerous leisure activities: Roman ruins (Mirobriga), local museum in the old prison with changing art exhibitions, Badoca Safari Park, municipal park with public indoor/outdoor swimming pool and horse riding facilities. Depending on the season, you can watch cork oaks being peeled, go on fishing boat trips, see a windmill in operation, visit a gypsy market... Worthwhile day trips take you to Evora, Beja, Monsaraz, Setubal, Lisbon. Get to know the regional cuisine, taste the uniquely good meat of the black Alentejo pigs or the freshly caught fish on the coast. When you think of Portugal, hiking would not necessarily come to mind first because most of us probably think of sun, sand and sea, but the beautiful region of the Alentejo with its rolling hills, castles, windmills, cork oak forests and its unique wildlife is wonderful for walking and hiking without any previous knowledge of the Alps.If you are interested and on request, we are happy to offer hiking excursions for different needs* Long-term rental possible* Non-smoking property* Suitable for senior citizens* Children welcome

    “Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. schönes Häuschen auf einem Hügel kurz nach dem Ortsausgang, ein weiteres Ferienhaus (Mühle) ist auf dem Hügel und Vermieter wohnt in der Nähe - trotzdem hat jeder genügend privaten Bereich, ruhige Lage, sehr nette Vermieter (deutschsprachig), alles wie auf den Bildern abgebildet. Haus ist einfach aber liebevoll und praktisch eingerichtet, es ist alles da was man braucht. Rund um das Haus und den Badeplatz laden viele gemütliche Plätze dazu ein, es sich gut gehen zu lassen. So kann man seinen Urlaub genießen und möchte gar nicht mehr so schnell weg.”
