Description of the apartment: Large bedroom: Double bed (Nordic), cupboard. Small bedroom: Bunk beds (Nordic), cupboard. Cuisine: Dining area, dishwasher, refrigerator-freezer. Bathroom: Bath tube with shower, large storage, 2 mirrors . Terrace seating with garden furniture. The apartment is located in the village part Chamues-ch, very quiet with comfortable surroundings. The apartment is very well furnished and suitable for a couple with 2 children up to about 12 years. With WLAN.

La Punt Chamues-ch a village with 700 inhabitants at the southern foot of the Albula Pass at 1700 m above sea level, away from the hustle and bustle, yet in the heart of the Upper Engadine. Ideal starting point for sporting and cultural activities and events in the region. A lively, well-preserved village. The Engadin peasant and patrician houses dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries give the village a special charm.

Excursion possibilities: What mountains. What lakes. What light! Whether on the 580km (360 miles) of hiking paths strewn over all the mountains or by mountain bike along 400km (250 miles) of fabulous trails: the Upper Engadin offers a superb network of paths and trails amidst an unspoilt Alpine landscape and the inspiring lake plateau. Four flow trails on the Corviglia guarantee a perfect flow. Equally popular among sports enthusiasts are the Upper Engadin lakes; kiting, sailing, windsurfing, stand up paddling – the possibilities are virtually endless. The expanse of the inspiring high-lying valley can be experienced in a particularly striking way on the two 18-hole golf courses in Samedan and Zuoz. And besides the wide range of sporting options, visitors can take advantage of the first-class cultural activities on offer, such as a visit to a museum or to one of the numerous art galleries in the various villages.  
In winter, the ski areas of Corviglia, Corvatsch, Diavolezza and family friendly Zuoz invite ski and snowboard enthusiasts to revel in 350 kilometres (218 miles) of the finest powder snow. Cross-country skiers will find over 220km (137 miles) of perfectly groomed trails in the Upper Engadin and the side valleys. The winter hiking paths and cross-country ski trails on the frozen Upper Engadin lakes are characterised by their light, sunshine and space amidst inspiring Alpine scenery. Those who would like to enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the snow-covered forests can explore the side valleys of Val Roseg, Val Fex or Val Bever on 150 kilometres (90 miles) of winter hiking paths. Visitors who prefer to have everything in view, meanwhile, will delight in the breathtaking vistas on the panorama hiking trails high above the lakes on Muottas Muragl.  
Families can bask in the Engadin sun during a ride in a horse-drawn carriage into the Val Roseg or Val Fex, or race down the mountainside into the valley on the winding, 4.2km (2.6 mile) long toboggan run on Muottas Muragl.

Location description: La Punt Chamues-ch - The proud resort
The patricians of yesteryear built their palaces here for very good reason – La Punt lies at the foot of the Albula. And at the gateway of a mysterious valley. Beautifully adorned farmhouses and stately patrician houses from the 16th and 17th centuries stand majestically in the village. The Albertini buildings, with its bright white crenelladed walls, and the imposing Sandoz House, with its hall-like passage leading into the middle of the building. And of course the famous restaurant, the Chesa Pirani, with its Baroque wooden panelled room and its two Michelin stars. Summer: The picturesque village also enjoys a strategically favourable location at the sunny foot of the Albula Pass, directly by the River Inn. Or in other words, at the departure point for varied tours by mountain bike, racing bike, in-line skates or on foot – for example, along the high-altitude trail. Moreover, La Punt Chamues-ch is located at the beginning of a ruggedly romantic secret. The Val Chamuera is considered the most primeval valley in all of the Engadin. And on the Alp Serlas, there is no kiosk to attract visitors, but rather an indescribable feeling of happiness evoked by the beautiful, unspoilt nature.
 
In winter, the snow-covered road over the pass is closed to traffic, and becomes a thrilling toboggan run. More winter fun is on offer along the idyllic cross-country ski trails, and on a variety of snowshoeing routes and ski touring itineraries. Children are promised their own snowy adventures thanks to the Müsella children’s ski lift, which together with the neighbouring playground makes this a prized spot for families.

    “Ideale Ferienwohnung für zwei Personen oder Familie mit zwei Kindern, praktisch eingerichtet, sauber und gemütlich. Sehr aufmerksame und nette Vermieterin. Positiv: Die Wohnung im schmucken Dorfteil Chamues-ch ist sehr schön gelegen und auch mit den öV sehr gut erreichbar. Negativ: Es gibt nichts auszusetzen. Restaurant: Restaurant Burdun - Gute Wildmenüs, gemütliches Ambiente Ausflüge: Val Trupchun - Mit dem Engadinerbus gut erreichbares Ziel im Schweizerischen Nationalpark. Eindrückliches Naturerlebnis mit den rührenden Hirschen, Bartgeiern und Murmeltieren.”

    “Super gepasst, besten Dank! Positiv: Sehr schön bereit gestellt, man fühlt sich sehr herzlich willkommen. Mit den Bergbahnkarten und dem wunderbaren Gartensitzplatz überaus erfreulich abgerundet. Negativ: Mit nahen Kirche kommen nicht alle klar. Wir waren dessen bewusst und es hat nicht wirklich gestört.”
