This lovely vacation home is located near Lild, directly on the beautiful beach. From the house you have a moving view of the roaring North Sea, which you can see from the large picture windows and from one of the three terraces. In fact, the cottage is so close to the sea that the surf whips against the windows during storms and otherwise the soothing sound of the crashing waves is very relaxing. Near the cottage is the 47-meter-high limestone cliff Bulbjerg, Denmark's only bird cliff and the southernmost breeding ground of the kittiwake. From the highest point of the cliff you have a unique view of the North Sea, dunes, coastal forests and heaths and at the foot of the cliff you can sometimes find fossilized sea urchins and other fossils. It is also not far to the Vejlerne bird sanctuary, where you can view rare bird species from observation towers. Don't forget your binoculars! Numerous marked hiking and biking trails, including the North Sea Route, lead through the beautiful landscape. For fishing, in addition to the beach, the fjord and lakes are also suitable. So it is possible to cast the fishing rod right in front of the house and get ready for a flatfish or a cod here. A change from the beautiful but at times rough North Sea is offered by the gentle Limfjord, a few kilometers away, which is characterized by picturesque villages, small ferry ports and calmer waters. Culturally interested visitors can watch various artists at work in the museum of the painter Kirsten Kjær, get an impression of the enormous fortifications, the Atlantic Wall ordered by Hitler, in the interesting bunker museum in Hanstholm, or walk on the shoulders of the Vikings, so to speak, at their burial sites near Frøstrup. In the nearby towns of Thisted and Fjerritslev, in addition to good stores, there is a rich sporting offer: golf course, equestrian center, indoor swimming pool, bowling, museums, galleries and exhibitions.
